Teach Me To Swim Learning to swim is a Life Saving Skill.

About one in five people who die from drowning within the United States are children 14 and younger. For every child who dies from drowning, another eight receive emergency department care for nonfatal submersion injuries.

Males: Nearly 80 percent of people who die from drowning in the United States are male.

People with Autism: Drowning is the leading cause of death for children and adults with Autism.

Drowning kills about 4,000 people each year in the United States.

In 2023, El Paso had 1 male child age 3 that fatally drowned at a Water Park. In 2024, El Paso has had 1 male age 3 that drowned in the bathtub.

Last year Texas had 90 child drownings. As of June 10, 2024 Texas has 34 fatal drownings under age 18 years old.
