The Drowning Prevention Coalition of El Paso each year hosts Drowning Prevention Week as a way to reach out to area students, teachers and parents about the importance of water safety, learning to swim and the importance of these three simple yet powerful words, “Respect the Water”.

The Drowning Prevention Coalition will hold a Media Day News Conference on May 1, 2025 at Westside Natatorium beginning at 10:00 AM ** to inform the public that **May is Drowning Prevention Month and the importance of Supervision of children in and around water.
