Drowning Prevention Coalition Media Day -Drownings Increasing

According to CDC Drownings are increasing. May is Water Safety Month. Drownings are preventable. Education, swim lessons, supervision around all bodies of water, CPR, pool rules, and life jacket use are tools families can use to be safer in the water.
The Drowning Prevention Coalition of El Paso will have their annual Media Day on Water Safety/Drowning Prevention on Thursday, May 16 @ 11 am at Westside Natatorium 650 Wallenberg. Over 15 organizations in El Paso UMC Trauma, EL Paso City Parks Aquatics, Wet N Wild Waterworld, YWCA, YMCA, El Paso County Aquatics, El Paso Water, El Paso Water Parks,El Paso Fire Dept Water Rescue, and others will be present to educate media on water safety, swim classes, CPR, Water Watchers and pool openings.
