Braden Aboud Learn to Swim Memorial Camp

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will host the Braden Aboud Learn to Swim Memorial Camp on Saturdays, June 1st and June 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for Session I and 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Session II.
The free camp will be at the Grandview Outdoor Aquatic Center, 3100 Jefferson Ave. for ages 5-17. Participants that are 12 year olds and older have the opportunity to learn a few lifeguard-training techniques as well.
The Camp will feature water safety presentations for parents and children, hands only CPR training, introduction to swim lessons, and fun activities to enjoy. Register now at www.elpasotexas.gov/parks as pre-registration is required or call (915) 212-0397.
The Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation is a 501(c3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and educational development of El Paso’s youth. Braden Aboud tragically passed away in 2007 at the age of 14 from a skiing accident. The Memorial Foundation was created later that year and has been instrumental in donating too many local charitable causes since.
